On October 11, 2010 at approximately 7:20 p.m. deputies responded to a business parking lot in Hollywood, for a report of a robbery. Investigation revealed Davevon Lee Price, 17 of Hollywood, met the victim in the parking lot of the business. Price and the victim became involved in a verbal dispute over a narcotics transaction which escalated into a physical assault and robbery when Price struck the victim in the head with a revolver and stole the victim’s property. Price fled the scene prior to the arrival of deputies.
Corporal Goodwin and K-9 Barry conducted a K-9 track and located a Smith and Wesson revolver along the roadside in the area of the business. Price was located a short time later at his residence in Hollywood. He was arrested and charged as an adult with robbery, first degree assault, second degree assault, use of a handgun in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.
