Public Hearing on Residential Sprinkler Systems : 6:30p.m. Public Hearing: to be held at the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department’s Social Hall, 46900 South Shangri-La Drive, Lexington Park To Receive Public Testimony and to Consider a Proposed Change to Chapter 203 of the Code of St. Mary’s County, to Add a Provision Relating to Residential Sprinklers Systems for all New One and Two Family Dwellings (Dept. of Land Use and Growth Management) The St. Mary's County Fire and EMS community has recommend that the St. Mary's County Commissioners adopt the Residential Sprinkler and Fire Fighter Safety Ordinance which would require the installation of an approved Residential Fire Sprinkler System in all new one and two family dwellings including manufactured homes delivered or built within the St. Mary's County for which a building permit is issued on or after a certain date. http://www.bdvfd.org/index.cfm?fs=news.newsView&News_ID=489
